The EuroScan International Network wishes to collaborate with organisations with related activities in order to:

  • Disseminate information on, and increase understanding of, early awareness and alert systems and activities
  • Share experiences, methods and outputs
  • Avoid duplication
  • Promote the introduction and diffusion of safe, effective and cost-effective health technologies in health systems around the world

World Health Organisation (WHO)

The EuroScan International Network and the WHO Department of Essential Health Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in December 2010, which was reviewed and resigned in September 2015. The new MoU outlines how the EuroScan International Network can support the delivery of the World Health Assembly resolution WHA67.23 on understanding the importance of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in support of universal health coverage. 

Beside tools dand data the EuroScan International Network is offering training, methods and infrastructural support for upcoming public agenices or scientific institutions.

 

International Network of Agencies for Health Technology Assessment (INAHTA)

INAHTA is a network of HTA agencies that support health system decision making that affects over 1 billion people in 33 countries around the globe.  

The EuroScan International Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INAHTA in June 2010. The MoU supports  the strengthening of links between early awareness and alert activities within the HTA family.

EuroScan International Network is supproting the INAHTA network by offering methods, data and facts and tools for sharing information and setting priorities.

Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi)

HTAi is a scientific and professional society for all those who produce, use, or encounter HTA. HTAi has members embraces all stakeholders, including researchers, agencies, policy makers, industry, academia, health service providers, and patients/consumers.

The EuroScan International Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HTAi in June 2011, which was reviewed and resigned in June 2015. The purpose of the MoU is to set a framework of co-operation between the EuroScan International Network and HTAi to support information exchange and collaborative work related to the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies, and to support the Disinvestment and Early Awareness Interest Sub-Group (DEA IG).

EuroScan International Network is especially working on the area of job-sharing between collecting and sharing information on the one hand and doing HTA (including methodological developments) being done by HTAi on the other side.

Supporting also regional activities across the world EuroScan International Network is especially proud to improve the colloboration with regional networks. This is underlying the idea of sharing global information and supporting regional/local decision making processes.

HTAsiaLink 

HTAsiaLink is a network to support collaboration between HTA agencies in Asia. It focuses on facilitating HTA research by accelerating information and resources sharing, and developing an efficient methodology for HTA in the region. 

The EuroScan International Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HTAsiaLink in September 2016. The MOU supports information exchange, capacity building and collaborative work between EuroScan and HTAsiaLink related to the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies. 

HTA Network of the Americas (RedETSA)

RedETSA is a HTA network of the Americas with 14 countries in North and South America represented by 29 institutions. RedETSA is dedicated to promoting HTA to inform decision-making. 

The EuroScan International Network signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RedETSA in June 2016. The MOU supports information exchange and collaborative work related to the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies. 

EUnetHTA network

European network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) has been a partner since the first project of EunetHTA in 2006. Different kind of common projects as well as a high overlap of institutional members had been the basis for co-operation and knowledge exchange.
